The highest office in our country is calling YOU to action. From June 22 to September 11, United We Serve, an initiative launched by the Obama Administration, will engage Americans from coast to coast in addressing community needs with a focus on education, health, energy and the environment, and community renewal. The Volunteer Center is very excited about this initiative and will be here all summer to help you find out about volunteering in our community.While United We Serve is initially 81 days of service, it will grow into a sustained effort to promote service as a way of life for all Americans. In addition to the Volunteer Center website, Serve.gov is a terrific online resource that can help you not only find volunteer opportunities, but also create your own service projects.
