Workshop on Fundamentals of Grant Writing

Grants are key to the funding success of most nonprofits, and to help our colleagues learn how to do it right, our Non Profit Training and Resource Center is presenting a "Fundamentals of Grant Writing" workshop on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. The workshop will run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in our offices at 64 Passaic Street, Hackensack; cost is $35 and includes continental breakfast and course materials.

Competition is fierce for every available charitable dollar, and nonprofits not only have to target proposals to specific prospects, but also have to submit impeccably written and presented materials. This beginning level course includes an an introduction to foundation research as well as principles of grant writing. Participants will learn to navigate tricky grant guidelines and organize information into clear, concise proposals.

This workshop is just one of a series designed specifically for staff and volunteers in non-profit agencies. Like all of our trainings, this one is highly interactive and hands-on, providing an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience.

Registration and payment are required in advance; the deadline to register is January 9, 2009. For information or to register:
