Anchors AWAY! Chore grabs an incredible donation.

Our Chore Service is the lucky recipient of 7,000 wall anchors generously donated by Benjamin Brothers, the Tenafly hardware store, and The Hillman Group. Volunteers with Chore will put the anchors to good use in installing more than 1,000 bathroom grab bars and interior banisters for elderly or disabled people in Bergen County. Pictured here are Walter Johnson (left), proprietor of Benjamin Brothers, with dedicated Chore volunteers Bob Nafash, River Edge; George Hartwick, Emerson; John Tercek, Dumont; and Elliott Wolk, Secaucus.

Volunteers with the Chore Service perform minor home repairs that keep the elderly and disabled safe in their homes.
Handypeople are invited to join Chore by calling (201) 489-7790.
