Makeovers for Mentoring Moms

The Parisian Beauty Academy hosted the second annual "Makeover Event" for the Mentoring Moms program. Over 50 moms, mentors and children were treated to haircuts, facials and manicures throughout the evening. All the services were free and stylists donated their time for the event. It was a fun night for everyone, especially for the moms who often can't afford such pampering. According to one mom, "This was such a treat - I haven't been to a hairdresser in years!" The Mentoring Moms program recruits, screens, trains and supervises caring mentors for overwhelmed mothers in need of guidance and support.

For more information on the Mentoring Moms program or how you can help please visit the Volunteer Center of Bergen County’s website.
